Swimsuits of Summer 16

This summer has been all about mix and matching. I’ve brought pieces from past summers back to life with the help of a few upgrades.

High neck bikini tops are sporty without compromising sex appeal. By leaving more to the imagination up top, you are free to be a little more cheeky on the bottom.

These bottoms are from Victoria’s Secret and the top is from Forever 21. Pair with a few flash tattoos and you’re golden. Just be prepared for the tan lines they’ll leave.

Here are my 2 favorite high thigh one pieces from Nastygal.com:

This powder pink halter one piece is a perfect match for a sun kissed glow.

I channeled my inner Carmen Electra in this Alina Swimsuit. This sexy suit also comes in more neutral colors if you’re not trying to be constantly compared to Bay Watch.

You can’t go wrong with fringe tops. They’re fun, flirty and flattering. I like to pair mine with a high waist bottom.

Layer on a colorful skirt and you’ve got the cutest cover up you’ll ever need.

One of my secrets is to wear sports bras as bathing suit tops. Many sports bras are made with quick dry material that’s also breathable, which makes them ideal substitutes. This black caged back sports bra from Without Walls works well with so many bottoms. I love that it’s lightweight and I can go right from the gym to the pool.

My go-to, favorite bikini is the basic string. This style works best for my body as it helps to elongate my short torso and little legs. For all the shorty’s out there, if you haven’t found the perfect string bikini, now’s the time. When in doubt, triangle tops and cheeky bottoms are the way to go.

Buying solid colored tops from Victoria’s Secret allows you to create multiple looks by pairing with different styled bottoms.
